I’m looking back on a wonderful, inspiring and artistically fulfilling weekend. It started on Friday when Jack had invited a Broadway producer to come and see our rehearsal of “Carnival of Souls: The Neon Animation plus Live Action” . The show is significantly growing every time we work on it! And it is so much fun to find new things, to tweak here and there.
After our rehearsal in Midtown I went straight to Port Authority Bus Terminal to catch my bus Upstate New York. I traveled to gorgeous Mount Tremper where I stayed for the night before I started working on “Eleemosynary” with Marnie Andrews. This reading was full of fire and passion and the audience was very responsive! We were thrilled and the adrenaline was rushing through my body after the show.
I stayed for another night upstate to breathe the fresh air of the woods before returning back to the city on Sunday morning, just in time for the rehearsal of “One Woman’s Story”, the story of a woman who travels from America to Europe in 1938 to go on adventure and ends up being in the Bunker in 1945 as one of Hitler’s secretaries. What a great compelling story written by Fred Pezzulli, and I feel so fortunate to play the lead role of the woman and working along side 9 wonderful actors last night!
After a rehearsal in the afternoon and the performance in the evening, I got home, took a bath and went straight to bed. I fell asleep exhausted, but very happy and satisfied. What a weekend! Thank you New York for these fantastic acting experiences! I feel so fortunate to be here, amongst the fantastic people you can only find here and nowhere else!
